JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for spraying weeds, grass and brush to contract specific locations for the control of undesirable nuisance vegetation.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operations

• Spray complete weed, grass and brush control to various aquatic areas
• Do truck & spray system inspections 
• Make sure all work is conducted in compliance with our safety guidelines

Technical

• Understanding of chemicals used, what they control, and our safety requirements.
• Basic understanding of application methods and equipment we utilize
• Basic understanding of spray patterns

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience or a willingness to learn new skills in the Vegetation Management field.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the application of complete weed, grass and brush control to various commercial, aquatic, railroad, DOT and or industrial sites.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Oversee all Contracts assigned
• Spray weeds, grass and brush control to various commercial/industrial sites, railroads, aquatic areas, roads and/or various rights-of-way.
• Do all your daily routing and scheduling per contract assigned
• Do all daily tank mixing with Crew
• Do  truck inspections (responsible for truck/spray systems maintenance and repairs) 
• Calibrate all spray equipment as needed
• Make sure all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines.
• Responsible for all daily/weekly record keeping.
• Out of town stay is required.

Service 

• Handle all contact with customers.
• Handle customer/public complaints.
• Report any potential liability through assigned Chain of Command

Technical

• Full understanding of Florida vegetation, grasses, weeds, aquatic plants and upland natural areas. 
• Understanding of chemicals used, chemical labels, what they control and all safety requirements and PPE. 
• Full understanding of application methods and equipment.
• Full understanding of spray equipment calibration

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• As a minimum, this position requires a Commercial Pesticide Applicators License in the appropriate state categories for Vegetation Management.
• You will be required to get pesticide licenses in additional states as needed
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Some out of town stay will be required.
